David founded True North Geographic Technologies in 2007. His career includes 25 years of experience in geographic information systems. Prior to founding True North, David was the Vice President of Info Code for over 4 years, a Geographic Systems Manager for 2 years and a Geographic Information Systems Coordinator for 2 years. 

 

He is the Owner and President of True North Geographic Technologies.

Mitch has been active in the GIS community for over 25 years. He served as the GIS Manager of IFDC from 1996 – 1997. From 1997 – 2012 he served as a Strategic Account Manager for Esri where he was responsible for actively managing Esri relationships with key accounts. During his tenure at Esri he focused on both the public and private sectors where he managed Esri’s business development efforts with State Government, Local Government, Utilities and select Fortune 100 private sector accounts.

​

He currently serves as the Director of Business Development for True North Geographic Technologies and is responsible for all Sales, Marketing and Account Management activities. Mitch’s mix of both public and private sector GIS experience provides him with a unique perspective of geospatial technology and how it can be successfully leveraged to streamline operations and increase efficiencies across multiple industries.

 

When Mitch is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors. He is the Coach of a Scholastic Trap Shooting team and enjoys fishing, hunting and backpacking. He serves as a Board Member of the Middle Tennessee YMCA. Each year he travels with a mission team to Nicaragua where they build structures that serve as churches and hurricane/earthquake shelters to the people of Nicaragua.

James has 25 years of experience in the GIS field, and has worked with True North since 2009. He has an in-depth understanding of public safety solutions and national NG9-1-1 workflow and standards.

 

At TNGEO he manages project work in the public safety vertical, and specifically the Spatial Interface for the State of Tennessee’s NG9-1-1 project. He is lead technical support for all public safety clients, develops and teaches NG9-1-1 curriculum, performs technical writing duties, and participates in NENA workgroups to contribute and stay apprised of current national standards and trends.

 

Right now, outside of work, he spends most of his time taking care of his Dad, who is in his late 80’s. As time permits, he enjoys most anything outdoors, from hiking and camping to canoeing and white-water rafting, and enjoys wildlife videography.

Zach has a Bachelor of Science degree, Civil Engineering, University of Kentucky, and 1994 Professional Engineer (TN: 106593) certificate. 

 

Zach joined True North in April 2014 and manages activities with Infrastructure clients. His career includes 10 years of experience at Esri working with utilities and government agencies in Tennessee and Virginia. Prior to joining Esri, Zach was a project engineer and the Director of GIS at a full-service architectural-engineering firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. His work there included engineering design and project management with water, wastewater and transportation clients. He also has 3 years of experience working in Kentucky State Government within the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection.

 

At TNGEO he manages the Infrastructure Team at True North, including clients in the water, wastewater, gas, electric, broadband and public works industries. His roles include business development, solution architecture design, account management and project management.

 

Outside of work Zach is an avid snowboarder and trail runner. He is a 5-time survivor of the Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon.
